The Importance of Good Courtesy

What kind of personality is needed to become a welcomed person? Besides being kind, having good courtesy is also required. As the saying goes” Courtesy costs nothing.” This is the reason why people regard good manners as important.
Courtesy plays an important role in our daily lives, since good courtesy is the first step to get to know a person that we have never met. We would sure want to give them a good impression. At this time, we can show courtesy by shaking hands with others. It not only shows our good manners but also shows respect and goodwill.
Besides talking courteously, acting properly is also a way to show courtesy. Since acting appropriately is as important as talking courteously. As a volunteer of the 100th sport event held in Changhua, we all took part in the special training of international courtesy during summer vacation. This training teaches us how to stand, act, and pin flowers for others in a proper way. Although we are not familiar with these actions at first, the faith of performing perfectly urges us to learn it well. What’s more, we would like to make all the guests know that all of the volunteers in this sport event are good-mannered.

Acting with good courtesy is sure to be welcomed. From now on, start to be a courteous person. Be friendly and polite to your friends, teachers and family. If everyone could be politely, then our society will become more harmonious and wonderful!

An Unforgettable Childhood Experience

In everyone’s childhood experience, there must be some unforgettable memories.  Some of them are sweet and happy, while some other are bitter, or even making us feel frustrating.  When speaking of the frustration I have been through in my childhood, I thought of the process of learning to ride bicycle.
As a child living in city for a long time, I have been yearning for the sense of freedom when riding bicycle.  However, my road on learning it wasn't so smooth.  At first, I couldn't ride bike without auxiliary wheels nor can I steel it without others helping me.  So, whenever I ride bicycle by myself, I couldn't find the balance and would easily fell down.  What’s even worse is that I got serious injury during the practice.  I remembered clearly that I burst into tears at the moment I fell onto the ground, since I was hurt not only physically but also mentally because I couldn't figure out the reason why I kept failing.  Thus, I became scared of riding bicycle and felt really frustrated about learning it.  Nevertheless, with the encouragement of my parent and friends, I made up my mind to trying it again.  After the tutorial of my cousin, I finally achieve my goal of learning it and brought my faith back.

Through this childhood experience, I learned how to overcome fear and frustration by adjusting my attitude and state of mind.  Be confident and brave to accept the challenges would be the key to cross the obstacles in our heart.

An unforgettable journey

What's the most unforgettable journey you have ever been through?  Is it with your family? Or is it with your best friend?  Or, like mine, a journey with myself?
My first journey aboard with myself happened at the age of 19.  At first, I felt nervous because i am not sure if I could made it.  Everything including the transportation bothered me.  I was afraid of getting lost, or meeting circumstances that i would not be able to cope with.  However, by planning my trip step by step and make sure every booking and appointment is done, I felt much relieved.
