The Importance of Good Courtesy

     What kind of personality is needed to become a welcomed person? Besides being kind, having good courtesy is also required. As the saying goes” Courtesy costs nothing.” This is the reason why people regard good manners as important.

     Courtesy plays an important role in our daily lives, since good courtesy is the first step to get to know a person that we have never met. We would sure want to give them a good impression. At this time, we can show courtesy by shaking hands with others. It not only shows our good manners but also shows respect and goodwill.

     Besides talking courteously, acting properly is also a way to show courtesy. Since acting appropriately is as important as talking courteously. As a volunteer of the 100^th sport event held in Changhua, we all took part in the special training of international courtesy during summer vacation. This training teaches us how to stand, act, and pin flowers for others in a proper way. Although we are not familiar with these actions at first, the faith of performing perfectly urges us to learn it well. What’s more, we would like to make all the guests know that all of the volunteers in this sport event are good-mannered.   

     Acting with good courtesy is sure to be welcomed. From now on, start to be a courteous person. Be friendly and polite to your friends, teachers and family. If everyone could be politely, then our society will become more harmonious and wonderful!
